Mat Christie was referred to me by a friend/co-worker that bought his house using Mat as his agent.  He had nothing but positive things to say about Mat, which, from my friend, is a great endorsement.  I'm happy to say that he lived up to that endorsement and more. 

For 2 years, on and off, Mat and I searched for a home.  I was constantly surprised at how patient he was with me, and he was always striving to figure out exactly what I wanted.  I'm sure that wasn't easy!  He was willing to go look at anything with me, which really helped me understand what the market was like and what would be possible.  Mat was always inquisitive when we looked at a home, and he would eagerly poke his head in the attic or under the house, doing whatever he could to assess the home's condition and value.  Mat was available whenever I had questions, and responded quickly to emails and texts, especially when we were writing offers and during the closing process.  He has a good sense of humor which helped on those long drives out to view homes in the areas around Bend.  He was realistic in valuation and costs.  

The best compliment I can pay Mat is that he always encouraged me to hold off for the home that was right.  I had a couple of chances to get a home that would have worked, but would not have been the "right" home for me.  His encouragement to walk away from deals was surprising and so very appreciated.
I honestly could not have asked for a better real estate agent.

Mat possesses all the attributes necessary to be an excellent broker -- he knows his market extremely well; he is diligent, responsive, and yet very patient with his clients. Mat is both very professional and personable. He clearly takes pride in doing a good job. 

Throughout my home buying process, Mat was extremely amenable and thoughtful in his recommendations to me. He took the time to introduce me to the area and drove me through different neighborhoods to be sure we would find the perfect home for me.

Mat doesn't forget you once the deal is done. I have called Mat for recommendations of handymen and other professionals, and even inquired about places to hike and snowshoe. He has always come through with excellent, timely recommendations. Mat is professional and fun, and I know I have a life long friend.
